Description

Day 1: La Paz - Uyuni

Our expedition begins at 8 PM, where we will gather on Avenida Uruguay in La Paz to board the bus heading to Uyuni. During the overnight journey, dinner will be provided onboard.

Day 2: Uyuni

Upon our arrival in Uyuni around 7 AM, you will enjoy breakfast at a local café. Refreshed and recharged, we will then embark on a jeep to explore the remarkable Uyuni Salt Flat.

Our first stop will be the train cemetery, a unique site filled with abandoned locomotives from the 19th century, perfect for capturing artistic photographs. Continuing our journey, we will visit Colchani, a salt iodization plant where you'll gain insight into the extraction methods of this natural resource.

Following this enlightening visit, we will traverse one of Bolivia's most stunning landscapes, reaching the Dakar monument and the Playa Blanca salt hostel.

To end the day, a visit to Incahuasi Island awaits. Nestled in the heart of the salt flat, this site features impressive giant cacti. We will take in a breathtaking sunset while exploring this natural paradise before settling for the night at a hostel in Uyuni.

Day 3: Uyuni - Huayllajara

Awake to a delightful breakfast at the hostel, and we’ll set out for the Colorada Lagoon. Along the way, we will pass the enchanting Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiacorta lagoons, the striking Siloli Desert, and the fascinating Stone Tree, well-known for its unique configuration.

After enjoying lunch at a restaurant in Paso del Inca, we will arrive at the Colorada Lagoon by 4 PM. Keep an eye out for flamingos as we spend the night at a hostel in the Huayllajara community.

Day 4: Huayllajara - Salvador Dalí Desert - Uyuni

Following breakfast, we will proceed to Sol de Mañana, a site renowned for its captivating volcanic activity. Our journey will take us to the Chalviri Hot Springs and the Salvador Dalí Desert, characterized by its vibrant rock formations. Lastly, we will stop at overlooks of the Verde and Blanca Lagoon as well as the Lincancabur volcano, situated near the Chilean border.

As the day winds down, we will travel back to Uyuni for our bus ride back to La Paz.

Day 5: La Paz

After a night on the road, we expect to reach La Paz around 6:30 AM.

Accommodation

This 5-day tour includes 2 nights of accommodation in two comfortable 2-star hostels:

• Uyuni: Hostel Agencha or a comparable facility, featuring double or triple rooms with private bathrooms.
• Huayllajara: Hostel Huayllajara or an equivalent hostel, offering 6-bed dormitories with shared bathrooms.
