Excursion to Sagres, Cape St. Vincent & Silves

Your adventure begins with a hotel pickup scheduled between 8:30 am and 9 am, leading you through some of the most stunning regions of the Algarve.

Our first destination will be the town of Silves, where we will explore its magnificent Arab castle, recognized as the most well-preserved in Portugal. Following this, we will proceed to the cathedral, a gothic structure that was erected on the location of an ancient mosque.

Continuing our route, we will traverse the scenic Serra de Monchique, a mountain range adorned with lush slopes of cork oaks and eucalyptus trees. We’ll reach the highest point, Foiá, providing spectacular panoramic views of the region and, on the horizon, the Atlantic Ocean.

Our journey will then take us to the Portuguese parish of Marmelete, where you can savor a traditional lunch. After satisfying our appetites, we will venture to the beautifully rugged beaches of the Costa Vicentina, taking a moment to soak in the stunning vistas and photograph its dramatic cliffs.

The adventure continues at the historic Cape St. Vincent, standing majestically at 75 meters above sea level, featuring a lighthouse and an ancient fort. This location also marks the southwestern tip of Europe! Following our visit to this remarkable landmark, we'll meander through the fishing village of Sagres, home to a significant fortress built during the 15th century.

As the day comes to a close, we will begin our return to your hotel, with an estimated arrival time around 4 pm.
