Guided Exploration of the Antequera Dolmens Site
The excursion begins just outside the Archaeological Ensemble of the Dolmens of Antequera museum. After a brief introduction and gathering, we will embark on a guided exploration that transports us to an era thousands of years ago.
Our journey will include an hour-long visit to two prominent dolmens within the site: Menga and Viera. Throughout the tour, we'll delve into the rich history of this area, constructed over 6,000 years ago and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This experience promises to engage visitors of all ages, offering a unique opportunity to appreciate the largest dolmen in Europe and one of the earliest examples of monumental architecture from prehistoric times across the continent. Truly remarkable!
We will conclude the guided tour of the Antequera Dolmens at our original meeting point.
Important Information
Please be aware that the Menga dolmen will remain closed for renovations until mid-June 2026, thus allowing public access only to the museum and the Viera dolmen.

On the day of the activity, we'll meet at the indicated time next to the entrance of the museum of the Dolmens of Antequera, where the sign 'MUSEO' is located.
Please arrive at the meeting point 10 to 15 minutes before the tour is scheduled to start.

Please note that the Menga dolmen will be closed for renovation until mid-June 2026, so only the museum and the Viera dolmen will be open to the public.
