A cruise on the Nile is an essential part of any visit to Egypt, representing a truly remarkable experience in this stunning land. Over the course of three days, this cruise takes travelers from Aswan to Luxor, the historic capital of Thebes.

Day 1: Arriving at Aswan + Temple of Philae

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from Aswan airport upon your arrival. Alternative pick-up options include your hotel or the train station. Following that, you will be transported in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle to the motonave, the vessel where your journey on the Nile will commence.

Once you've settled into your cabin, we'll regroup to embark on a visit to the Temple of Philae. Situated on an island, this remarkable temple is dedicated to the goddess Isis and once lay submerged for years due to the previous Aswan Dam.

Your welcome continues with a visit to a local perfumery, providing a delightful introduction to the fragrances of the region.

Day 2: Aswan – Kom Ombo – Edfu

After enjoying breakfast, those interested can opt for an excursion to the Abu Simbel temples, a recommended highlight of your time in Aswan.

Upon returning to the ship for lunch, you'll set sail down the Nile, arriving at the Temple of Kom Ombo during sunset, a breathtaking sight. Following your visit, the cruise will continue towards Edfu, where dinner will be served, and you will spend the night moored.

Day 3: Edfu – Esna – Luxor

After breakfast, you'll embark on a horse-drawn carriage ride through Edfu to explore the temple dedicated to the god Horus.

The journey continues toward the Esna lock, which acts as a lift for boats navigating the 10-meter elevation change in the river level. Upon reaching the historic city of Luxor, you will visit two of the most magnificent temples in Egypt: the Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temple. Notably, these temples were once linked by the 3-kilometer-long Avenue of the Sphinxes.

The night will be spent docked in Luxor after dinner.

Day 4: Exploring Luxor

Early in the morning, following breakfast and check-out at around 6 am, you will make your way to the nearby monumental necropolises. Your day will include a visit to the Valley of the Kings (with access to three tombs), the Hatshepsut Temple (dedicated to Egypt's only female pharaoh), and the Colossi of Memnon. To round off your day, there will be a chance to explore a stone and alabaster workshop, showcasing local craftsmanship.

The tour concludes around 4:30 pm, at which point you will be transferred to Luxor airport, the train station, or another destination within the city.

Travelers can choose between two distinct categories of vessels:

• 5* Standard: Options include MS Pioneer II, MS Mirage, MS Nile Delta, Miss Egypt, Beaurivage II, Grand Princess, Voyager, MS Jasmine, MS Grand Princess among others.
• 5* Premium: Premium selections feature Royal Esadora, MS Zeina, MS Nile Dolphin, MS Tuya, Royal Princess, Crown Jewel, MS TiYi, MS Liberty, MS Renaissance, MS Stéphane, MS Jaz C. Jubilee, MS Nile Marquise or similar.

Specific boat assignments will be confirmed a week prior to departure.

All vessels provide comfortable accommodations, ideal for enjoying the cruise experience. For those seeking luxury, the premium options offer enhanced amenities, service, and dining experiences.

Upon booking a standard category, you can arrive in Aswan at any time on the first day. In the case of the premium category, if you arrive on a Friday, the same flexibility applies. However, for premium bookings on a Wednesday, arrival in Aswan should be by midday to participate in that day's tours.

Price Information

• The listed price is per person in a double room or cabin. Solo travelers are subject to an additional charge.
• For groups of three, a double room will have an extra bed. Should the third traveler prefer a separate single room, additional fees will apply.

Itinerary Adjustments

The sequence of events may be modified based on the selected boat; however, all outlined activities will still be included. Additional excursions, such as visits to the Valley of the Queens, Deir el-Medina, or the Unfinished Obelisk, can also be arranged during the cruise.

Holiday Exceptions

Please note that between December 20 and January 2 (Christmas) and during Holy Week, cancellations will not be refunded.

Pickup Details

If you prefer to be collected from your city accommodation instead of the airport or train station, please consider the following:

For hotels or boats located on specific islands in Aswan, pick-up will occur at designated points:

• For stays on Western Aswan Island (Gharb Aswan): Collection will be from the West Bank Ferry Terminal.
• For Elefantina Island (Guizirit Alfantin): Pick-up will be from the Kornish Al Nile KFC or the Telecom Egypt Office on El Sadat Road.
• For Suhil Island (Guizirit Suhil): Collection will also be from the West Bank Ferry Terminal.

Travelers staying outside the city center or on islands not mentioned should proceed to one of the designated pick-up locations.
