Participating in this wine tasting experience in Aveiro provides an opportunity to explore the distinctive flavors of wines from northern Portugal. You will sample three varieties of wine!

Our Portuguese wine tasting will commence at the scheduled time at Entre Copos e Chávenas, located in the heart of Aveiro.

During the next 45 minutes, we will embark on a sensory exploration of the winemaking heritage of northern Portugal, indulging in 3 glasses of Port wine that exhibit a range of flavors and aromas. You will savor the Porto Dry White, complemented by cured cheese, the Porto Ruby paired with chocolate, and the Porto Tawny enjoyed with some nuts.

We will examine the differences among a dry white, a Ruby, and a Tawny. The Tawny wine is produced from red grapes and undergoes aging in barrels or oak casks for several years. In contrast, Ruby wines typically age in glass bottles for a period of 1 to 3 years.

Throughout this oenological journey, a knowledgeable expert will assist you in recognizing the defining characteristics of each wine. By the conclusion of the tasting, you will be equipped to identify their essential traits, greatly enhancing your appreciation for the craft of winemaking.
