Fancy spending a day at the beach outside Barcelona? On this day trip to Tossa de Mar, we'll take you to one of the Costa Brava's most popular destinations, where you can sunbathe and take a dip in its crystal-clear waters.

Day Trip Details

At the indicated time, we'll depart from the Estació del Nord bus station in Barcelona, heading to Costa Brava, the coastline of the province of Gerona.

After a 1.5-hour journey, we'll arrive at the famous tourist town of Tossa de Mar. Once there, we'll have a 45-minute guided tour in which we'll walk from the Playa Grande beach to the walled enclosure of the town. Next to it is the Tossa lighthouse, from which we'll enjoy panoramic views of the coast.

After the tour, we'll descend from Vila Vella to the narrow streets of the seaside district of Tossa. You'll have 5 hours of free time to stroll, swim in the Mediterranean Sea, shop, and enjoy the local cuisine.

Highlights in the old town include the church of San Vicente, the Torre de Can Magí, and the Roman villa of Tossa. Besides Playa Grande beach, Playa Mar Menuda beach is also worth a visit. There is a promenade with numerous restaurants.

Finally, we'll meet in the center of Tossa to return to Barcelona, concluding this 9-hour day trip.
