Cerro López Hiking Tour

Do you have a passion for the outdoors? Join us for a hiking adventure at the magnificent Cerro Lopez, located merely 30 minutes from Bariloche, and embrace the stunning scenery of Argentine Patagonia.

Hike Overview

Your journey begins with a pickup from your Bariloche accommodation, followed by a drive to the foot of Cerro Lopez. Here, we will set out on an 8-kilometer (5-mile) hike that includes some steep sections and an elevation gain of approximately 800 meters (2,625 feet).

The hike starts with an upward climb, granting us mesmerizing views of Argentine Patagonia. As we ascend, you’ll be treated to breathtaking vistas of Nahuel Huapi and Moreno lakes, framed by the impressive Andean mountains.

As we traverse a lovely forest of cypress and lenga trees, our journey leads us to the López Refuge, situated at an altitude of 1600 meters (5,250 feet). Here, a well-deserved pause awaits, featuring a picnic-style meal that includes a sandwich, a cereal bar, and a piece of fruit. Please remember to pack your water bottle!

Once refreshed, we will make our way back down to the base of Cerro Lopez. Your vehicle will be ready to take you back to Bariloche, wrapping up our day approximately 8 hours after the initial pickup.
