Your adventure begins as you land at El Dorado Airport, where our team will greet you. We'll transfer you to your accommodation in Bogotá for a two-night stay.
Later in the day, a guided walking tour of the historic center awaits, starting at either 10 am or 2 pm. This approximately 2-hour excursion includes significant sites such as Bolívar Square, a pivotal location in Colombia's history. Here, you'll find the magnificent Primada Cathedral and the National Capitol, which are steeped in centuries of heritage.
After the tour, you may continue your exploration of the city or enjoy some leisure time back at the hotel.
Important: Should your arrival coincide with the tour's designated times, we will arrange your airport pick-up, allowing you to enjoy the day at your own pace.
Day 2: Bogotá – Zipaquirá – Bogotá
Following a hearty breakfast, we'll depart Bogotá for a day trip to Zipaquirá, around a 50-minute drive away.
In Zipaquirá, the renowned Salt Cathedral will be our first stop, an extraordinary structure ingeniously carved from an underground salt mine. Witness its stunning galleries, chapels, and sculptures before enjoying a lunch break and some leisure time to sample local cuisine.
Next, we will proceed to the Guatavita Lagoon, situated over 3,000 meters (9,842 feet) high in Sesquilé. As we navigate its trails, you'll learn about the legendary El Dorado, believed to be a site where the Muisca Indians made offerings of gold to their gods, leaving a mystery that still captivates many.
After a day filled with discovery, we'll return to Bogotá around 11 hours later, giving you the evening to unwind and dine.
Day 3: Bogotá - Salento
After an early breakfast, we will set off toward the enchanting Colombian Coffee Region, taking a scenic 6.5-hour drive to Salento, celebrated for its charming architecture and its connection to the Disney film Encanto.
You will have time to grab lunch on your own. Later, we'll explore Colombia's famous coffee culture at El Ocaso farm, following the complete journey of coffee bean production. Enjoy a stroll through the coffee fields and conclude with a delightful coffee tasting.
Finally, we will head to your hotel in Salento for a well-deserved rest.
Day 4: Salento
On day four, prepare to be amazed by the breathtaking Cocora Valley. After breakfast, we will take a short ride to the town square in Salento and board an off-road vehicle that will transport us to this exceptional location.
Upon our arrival, a 3.5-hour hiking trail beckons, showcasing the magnificent wax palms, Colombia's national tree, soaring over 60 meters (197 feet) into the air. These unique palms create an unparalleled scenic backdrop within the valley.
After the hike and nature appreciation, we will head back to Salento, where the rest of the day is yours to explore the town at your leisure before our next departure.
Day 5: Salento - Cali
Post-breakfast, we will set off on a 4-hour drive to Cali, known as the salsa capital of Colombia. After settling in at your hotel, you'll have free time for lunch.
Once refreshed, we will embark on a walking tour through the historic center, taking in notable sights such as the Ermita Church and Cayzedo Square, which embodies the heart of the city.
Our adventure continues with a salsa class at a local dance academy, where you can learn basic steps and choreography amidst a vibrant atmosphere.
Spend the rest of the day and evening exploring the energy of Cali on your own.
Day 6: Cali
The sixth day invites you to further explore the spirit of Cali with a comprehensive 6-hour tour of its iconic landmarks. We'll visit notable sites such as La Merced Church and the Cathedral of San Pedro, along with a stroll down Bolívar Promenade and through the Poets' Park.
Visit the Mercado Tradicional de la Alameda, a bustling market showcasing local products and an authentic taste of the city’s culinary offerings.
The journey will lead us to Cristo Rey, a towering viewpoint providing a breathtaking panorama of Cali, perfect for capturing memorable photographs.
Once back, enjoy the afternoon and evening at your convenience.
