Bogotá and Monserrate Cable Car Experience
Your adventure begins with a convenient pick-up from your accommodation in Bogotá. We will set off on a guided exploration of the city, traversing the bustling city center. Here, you'll encounter notable historical sites such as the Teatro Colón and the Palacio de San Carlos, the latter serving as the official residence of the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As we navigate through the La Candelaria area, you'll view the church of San Ignacio de Loyola, a remarkable example of preserved original architecture. We'll also have the opportunity to appreciate the Presidential Palace of Nariño, situated in the renowned Plaza Bolivar. In this neoclassical square, marvel at the impressive Catedral Primada de Colombia, the Capitolio Nacional, and the Palacio de Liévano, home of the mayor's office.
The tour will continue with a detailed visit to the Gold Museum, renowned for its extensive pre-Hispanic art collection, counting approximately 60,000 artifacts made from metals, ceramics, bones, wood, and emeralds.
To conclude our tour, we will take the Montserrate cable car, subject to availability, leading us to the hilltop where panoramic views of Bogotá await.
After a comprehensive 5-hour experience, we will transport you back to your hotel.
Key Information
Please note that the Gold Museum is not open on Mondays. If your visit falls on that day, we will explore the Botero Museum instead, where the remarkable works of Fernando Botero, a celebrated Colombian artist, will certainly captivate you.
