This tour designed for layovers in Bogotá includes convenient pickup from the airport and transport back once your adventure concludes. Upon your arrival, our guide will be ready to greet you with a sign at the arrivals area, signaling the start of your exploration in one of the highest capitals in Latin America, situated at an altitude of 2,625 m (8,612 ft) above sea level!

Your journey begins with a walk through Plaza de Bolívar, where you’ll encounter the National Capitol, home to the National Congress, and the Palace of Justice, where the nation's judicial proceedings take place. As you continue, you’ll appreciate the grandeur of the Liévano Palace, also known as Alcaldía Mayor, alongside the exquisite Primate Cathedral of Colombia, a stunning architectural gem from the early 19th century.

After exploring these iconic landmarks, prepare to delve into the Gold Museum, renowned for showcasing one of the most significant collections of pre-Hispanic art within Latin America, featuring around 6,000 artifacts made from metal, ceramics, bone, wood, and emeralds.

Once your tour is complete, we will return you to El Dorado Airport after approximately 5 hours.

Important Information

Be aware that the Gold Museum is closed on Mondays. On such days, we will substitute your visit with a trip to the Botero Museum, where you will admire works from one of Colombia’s most celebrated artists.

Layover Requirements

To enjoy this experience, you need to have at least 7 hours between your flights. The total travel time back and forth from the city center to the airport takes about 2 hours, plus you need to arrive at the terminal 2 hours prior to your departing flight. Thus, the time available for exploring the city will be around 3 hours.
