MIT Campus Exploration

Our gathering will occur at Main Street at your chosen time, marking the start of our journey around the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). This institution holds a central position in technological education in the United States. Our initial stop will be the Stata Center, where the Gates and Dreyfoos Buildings are located.

Continuing, we will visit the Green Building, notable for being the tallest building on campus and throughout Cambridge. This 21-story structure houses the Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences departments. Interestingly, some of the most notable innovators who have graced MIT’s halls include Tim Berners-Lee (creator of the World Wide Web), William Hewlett (co-founder of Hewlett Packard), and Alfred P. Sloan (former CEO of General Motors).

Furthermore, our exploration will lead us to the Great Dome, the university’s most iconic landmark, where we’ll uncover the rich traditions followed by MIT students. We will then stroll along Massachusetts Avenue to visit the Harvard Bridge, the longest bridge crossing the Charles River.

Additionally, we’ll pass through Lobby 7, which opens into the Infinite Corridor, a pivotal passage running through MIT's primary buildings. Spanning 800 ft (251 meters), it serves as one of the key entry points into the campus. This engaging tour concludes after approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.
