Jewish Quarter Private Tour
Description
Description
Embark on a journey through the rich heritage of the Jewish community, exploring significant synagogues, plazas, and notable institutions. Your experience will be enhanced with the presence of a dedicated private guide, ensuring an intimate exploration for your group.
Jewish Quarter Private Tour
Booking a private tour means having an English-speaking expert guide at your service exclusively for your group. This allows for a tailor-made itinerary that aligns with your interests, and could potentially reduce costs for larger parties.
Your adventure begins at 9 am with a pickup from your hotel in Buenos Aires. From there, we'll set out to uncover the Jewish heritage in the Argentine capital.
Our first stop will be Plaza de la Memoria, a significant location where the former Israeli Embassy stood until a tragic attack led to the loss of 29 lives and many injuries. In remembrance of the victims and in support of Israel, a monumental structure now graces the square.
Next, we will journey to the Templo de la Libertad, recognized as the Synagogue of the Israelite Argentine Congregation, which holds the title of the largest and oldest Jewish temple in Argentina.
No visit would be complete without exploring AMIA (Argentine Israelite Mutual Aid Association), a central institution for the Jewish community in Buenos Aires. Your guide will share insights about this organization’s storied history and its array of services aimed at enhancing the community's welfare.
Our final destination will be the Once neighborhood, the heart of the Jewish community where synagogues, kosher eateries, and specialized markets flourish. Among the sights, we will admire the Templo de Paso, celebrated as one of the most stunning synagogues in South America.
Your private exploration of the Jewish Quarter will conclude as we return you to your hotel around 1 pm.
