Cádiz Catamaran Tour
Description
Experience the rich history of southern Spain through its majestic castles, fortified structures, and ancient city walls while aboard a catamaran expedition in the Bay of Cadiz.
Available Tours
During your reservation, you can opt for one of two different excursions. Both options commence from the Bay of Cádiz and feature a catamaran ride equipped with recorded commentary in English. Below are the specifics of each tour:
1 Hour & 15-Minute Excursion
We'll gather at Cádiz Port, where our catamaran awaits to embark on an exciting bay cruise. After completing the check-in, we’ll set off, choosing our direction based on the weather and sea conditions, either heading north or south.
If we navigate towards the northern part of the Bay of Cádiz, we'll have the chance to witness the San Carlos walls, along with the bastions of Candelaria and San Felipe, and the notable San Sebastian Castle. These architectural marvels, constructed between the 16th and 18th centuries, reveal the city's historical significance in strategic defense over the ages. The boat also provides views of the Church of El Carmen, a remarkable example of Cádiz's Baroque heritage.
Conversely, if we proceed southward, the tour will showcase additional defensive sites, such as the Matagorda Fort and the Bastion of San Antonio, leading up to a shipbuilding facility. Following this, we will glide beneath the Constitution of 1812 Bridge, where we'll delve into the details of how this structure earned its place as a pivotal engineering achievement in modern Europe.
Our boat journey will conclude as we return to the dock after 1 hour and 15 minutes of exploration, wrapping up the entire experience within 1 hour and 45 minutes.
2.5-Hour Excursion
Selecting this option allows you to soak in the beauty of the Bay of Cádiz while we also pause for a revitalizing swim in its inviting waters. You’ll have the opportunity to embark on the boat slide or engage with the enormous inflatable mats for a memorable time!
This tour concludes at the initial departure point 2.5 hours later.
