Callao District Free Tour
We will gather at 10 am in the Plaza de la Independencia to commence our journey. Situated approximately 15 kilometers from Lima's city center, this coastal locale has served as Peru's primary port since its establishment in the 16th century.
Our adventure begins at the Real Felipe Fortress, a significant military installation built to defend the port against pirate incursions. After exploring this historical site, we will continue our walk through Callao, taking in the beautiful colonial architecture that defines the district.
As we navigate the area, we will pass by the Pasaje, also known as Casa Ronald, a building from the 1920s that now hosts a prominent art gallery, as well as the vibrant Plaza Grau. Here, you will have some leisure time, with the opportunity to enjoy a boat ride to view the Pueblo Canyon and the Abtao submarine.
To conclude our tour, we will hop on public transport to reach La Punta, just a short five-minute ride away. This quaint neighborhood, known for its Italian heritage, is the perfect spot to sample delectable seafood. The tour wraps up here after an enriching experience lasting 3 hours and 30 minutes.

The guide will wait for you at 9 am at Plaza San Martín de Cercado de Lima to take public transport to Callao.
Whoever wishes to go directly to Callao, we'll meet at 10 am at the entrance of the Real Felipe Fortress.
In both cases, it's recommended to be there at least 10 minutes in advance.
You set the price
Our guides work exclusively on the basis of the tips of the assistants. At the end of the tour, you'll be the one who sets the price for the service. Just so you have a rough estimate, it is customary to tip between 5EUR and 15EUR per person.
