Our journey begins at Piazza Roma, where we will gather at your chosen time for the guided walking tour of Carbonia. As we stroll through the town, we will appreciate its key monuments and uncover the stories embedded in its history.

Carbonia, a town founded in 1938 under the direction of Benito Mussolini, was developed as a fascist settlement to oversee the nearby mining operations. At the peak of their activity, these mines represented the largest energy supply hub in Italy.

During our walk, we will take in the architecture of significant landmarks such as the Torre Littoria, the cinema-theatre, and the Church of San Ponciano, notable for its striking 46-meter bell tower.

Our exploration of Carbonia continues as we discover the Post Office and the Town Hall. Subsequently, a stroll through Villa Sulcis Park will lead us to the remnants of the former residence of a mine director.
