We will collect you from your accommodation at the appointed time and board a minibus to embark on our exciting exploration of the Portuguese Water Route.

Your first stop will be Vidago, a quaint village renowned for its healing waters, which health professionals often prescribe for conditions like gout and diabetes. Here, you will have the chance to explore the spa and sample the local mineral water, sourced from springs that have been active since 1886.

Next, we will return to Chaves, recognized as the capital of the Alto Tâmega region. Formerly known as Aquae Flaviae in Roman times, this area's waters have historically played a vital role in community health. We'll visit the ancient Roman baths, known for treating ailments such as rheumatism and skin disorders due to their high silica concentration. Afterward, you will have some free time for lunch. For those interested, the local specialty, Chaves cake, is a must-try.

Following the break, we will advance along the Water Route and cross into Spain to explore the impressive castle of Monterrey, a fortress-palace dating back to the 10th century. Our journey will then take us to the picturesque Galician town of Verin, known for its abundant natural springs, including renowned brands like Cabreiroa, Fontenova, and Sousa. You will have the opportunity to visit its spas and taste the refreshing waters of both Fonte do Sapo and Caldeliñas.

In conclusion, we will return you to your hotel approximately 6 hours after departure.
