Embark on a unique journey with the Dujiangyan Panda Base Volunteer Experience from Chengdu. This is your chance to assist staff in crafting the preferred meals of these beloved creatures!

Activity Details

Your day begins with a convenient hotel pick-up in Chengdu as we proceed directly to the Dujiangyan Panda Bear Reserve, located roughly two hours away from the city.

Upon reaching the reserve, you will don the same uniforms as the center's personnel and explore the facilities that house the panda bears. This scenic area is filled with bamboo and diverse vegetation beneficial for the animals.

As the experience unfolds, you will observe how volunteers prepare the food for the pandas prior to feeding time. You'll be amazed to discover that these charming bears enjoy more than just bamboo! After assisting the staff with additional responsibilities, such as organizing the sleeping quarters for the animals, we’ll take a break for lunch in the employees' cafeteria.

Post-lunch, a fascinating documentary about panda bears will be presented. You will also have the opportunity to whip up a special snack for the pandas—a delightful cake made of fruit and corn that they absolutely adore!

Concluding our visit, we will head back with a brief stop at Dujiangyan Zhongshug, celebrated as one of the most stunning bookstores globally. Its towering columns, lined with countless books, create an enchanting atmosphere enhanced by a strategic arrangement of mirrors.

After approximately 7 hours of engagement, we will return you to your hotel in Chengdu.
