Your ticket grants you direct entry to a lush sanctuary located just 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) from the heart of the city. Enjoy your visit!
Upon arrival, you will explore pavilions designed for nursery care, comfortable sleeping spaces, and expansive indoor and outdoor habitats with rich vegetation for the adult pandas. The base also includes feeding enclosures, a veterinary clinic, and dedicated research labs. It’s a complete ecosystem devoted to these magnificent creatures!
The facility hosts a contemporary museum featuring interactive displays and touchscreens that delve into panda genetics, breeding practices, and conservation efforts. Additionally, a dome-shaped theater offers documentary screenings, providing a captivating insight into their natural history. Interestingly, this base was established in 1987 with just six rescued pandas, and it now supports and protects over 200 pandas.
Arriving early will allow you to witness the pandas during their peak activity hours, as they climb, eat, roll, and play with one another. This vibrant activity is sure to warm your heart! Post-noon, the pandas typically rest, making mornings the optimal time for dynamic encounters!
