Parral Day Trip

Learn all about the history of the Mexican Revolution on our day trip to Parral. We will depart from Chihuahua to visit key sites including the tomb of Pancho Villa and Alvarado Palace.

Tour Details

We will pick you up at your hotel in Chihuahua at the designated time and travel south for a 2.5-hour drive to Parral, officially known as Hidalgo del Parral, a historic town in the state of Chihuahua.

Upon arrival, we will take a guided tour of Parral to see its prominent attractions. In the city center, we will visit Alvarado Palace, noting its neo-renaissance, neo-baroque, and neoclassical architectural styles. We will also view the opulent decoration of its various rooms, furnished from different historical periods.

The tour includes a visit to the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the main religious monument, followed by a stop at the main square and the La Prieta mine, where we will learn about mineral extraction.

Next, we will visit the cemetery of Parral, home to the tomb of Pancho Villa. We will pause to discuss significant events in his life, as he was a key figure in the Mexican Revolution. Afterward, we will enjoy a traditional lunch of local delicacies at a restaurant in central Parral.

After lunch, we will return to your hotel in Chihuahua, concluding the tour approximately 8 hours later.
