Kayak Excursion on the Mondego River

Our journey begins at the designated meeting point located along the historic route connecting Coimbra and Penacova, positioned on the banks of the Mondego River. From this starting point, we will travel to Penacova, where the kayaking adventure will commence.

Upon arrival, participants will receive comprehensive instructions and be assigned their kayaks. As we engage in this thrilling excursion, we will paddle through the stunning Mondego Valley, observing charming villages like Ronqueira and Louredo along the way.

We will glide past delightful riverbank beaches and navigate through gentle currents. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to disembark and take a refreshing swim in the river. Following our aquatic exploration, we will make a brief stop at a local restaurant where participants can enjoy food or beverages.

After recharging, we will remount our kayaks and retrace our route back to Penacova, after which we will safely return to Coimbra. We anticipate arriving back at the starting location approximately 5.5 to 6 hours after departure.
