Humantay Lake Hike
Description
Ascend over 4000 meters to admire the stunning Humantay Lake, an extraordinary trekking adventure nestled in the majestic Andes!
Hike to Humantay Lake
Following your hotel pickup at the designated time, we will embark on a bus journey toward the Humantay Lagoon, a breathtaking gem situated within the Andean mountains.
Our initial stop occurs in the Mollepata settlement, located at nearly 3,000 meters above sea level, where we will pause to savor a nourishing breakfast, the perfect way to energize for the day!
Continuing our exploration through this remarkable Peruvian region, we will reach the Soraypampa camp, situated at 3,900 meters. Here, we will commence our trek to the Humantay Lagoon, a turquoise oasis embraced by the towering glaciers of the mountain range.
The hike spans approximately 2 hours and elevates us to 4,200 meters, where we can marvel at the diverse local flora and fauna. The effort will reward you with an awe-inspiring vista, unmatched anywhere in Peru.
After spending an hour in this enchanting environment, we will retrace our steps back to Soraypampa, where we will board the bus bound for Mollepata, to enjoy a well-earned buffet lunch.
Finally, we will return to Cusco, concluding our 13-hour journey with a drop-off at Regocijo Square.
