Upon booking, you'll have the choice between a 3-day trek or a more immersive 4-day trek. In either case, we'll begin with a prompt pickup from your hotel in Cusco at the designated time:

3-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco - Santa María - Santa Teresa

Your journey begins at 6 am with a pickup from your hotel in Cusco as we embark on a bus trip to the renowned Sacred Valley of the Incas. En route, we will travel through Chinchero, Urubamba, and briefly stop at Ollantaytambo before heading to Puerto de Málaga. Here, at an elevation of nearly 14,300 feet (4,350 meters), you will enjoy a thrilling 3-hour biking adventure down to the village of Santa María.

After savoring lunch, those interested can partake in rafting along the Vilcanota River. We will then proceed to Santa Teresa, where local accommodations await for the night.

Day 2: Santa Teresa - Aguas Calientes

The day starts with breakfast featuring exquisite local coffee. Following this, thrill-seekers can join a zipline circuit. We'll then trek for about 3 hours to the village of Hidroeléctrica for lunch. Continuing the journey, we’ll walk alongside train tracks for another 3 hours, immersing in the area's rich biodiversity.

By 5 pm, we’ll check into a lodge in Aguas Calientes for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

Starting with breakfast at the hotel in Aguas Calientes, and according to the entrance schedule, we will head to Machu Picchu. For those who have pre-purchased tickets for Huayna Picchu, the option to climb is available. A thorough 2-hour guided tour of the archaeological wonder follows.

After exploring, lunch will be on your own in Aguas Calientes. We will then travel back to Ollantaytambo via train or bus, depending on your booking, before returning you to Regocijo Square in Cusco. The estimated return will be in the late afternoon, contingent upon the Machu Picchu entry time and train schedule.

4-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco - Santa María

The adventure begins at 6 am with a pickup from your Cusco hotel, as we journey to the Malaga Pass. Here, you will embark on a captivating 3-hour bike ride towards Santa María, witnessing both Andean and jungle ecosystems.

Upon arrival, you will be guided to your overnight accommodation. Those looking for more excitement may opt for afternoon rafting on the Vilcanota River or simply enjoy some downtime. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Day 2: Santa María - Santa Teresa

After a filling breakfast at the hostel, we’ll embark on a hike that follows authentic Inca trails, traversing the lush high jungle replete with tropical fruits, coca, and coffee plantations.

Lunch will be served at a local family home before we unwind at the Cocalmayo open-air hot springs. After a rejuvenating soak, we will head to Santa Teresa for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 3: Santa Teresa - Aguas Calientes

A hearty breakfast will be served at our Santa Teresa accommodation, followed by some free time to try ziplining if desired. We will then start a 3-hour trek towards the village of Hidroeléctrica for lunch.

Post-lunch, we will continue our hike for 2 hours until we reach Aguas Calientes, where you will enjoy dinner and a restful night at a local hotel.

Day 4: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu

Based on our designated entry time, an uphill hike of approximately 2.5 hours will lead us to Machu Picchu, the lost city of the Incas.

Upon arrival, you'll be guided on a 2.5-hour tour of the stunning archaeological site. After the tour, you’ll have ample time to explore Huayna Picchu, the Temple of the Moon, and other nearby attractions at your own pace.

In the afternoon, we’ll return via train to Ollantaytambo, followed by a bus ride back to the vibrant city of Cusco.

Your tour encompasses 2 to 3 nights of lodging in various hostels or lodges as follows:

• Santa Teresa: Hostal Kuychi or similar
• Santa María: Hostal Vicma or similar
• Aguas Calientes: Hostal Samuel House, Mosoq inti, Hatun wasy, or similar
