Inkilltambo Hiking Adventure

We will commence our journey by picking you up from your accommodation in Cuzco at the designated time and proceed towards the Inkilltambo archaeological complex. En route, there will be an option to stop and discover the ancient Tambomachay and Qenko ruins if you wish.

Upon arriving at the archaeological park of Saqsayhuaman, we will embark on a picturesque hike to the Inkilltambo site, known as an Inca sanctuary chiseled into the volcanic rock.

The hiking path spans over two hours, taking us over streams, through mountainous terrain, and amidst forests of eucalyptus and cactus. Upon reaching Inkilltambo, you will get to explore its various structures, including the recently restored Inca Palace and the ceremonial huacas.

After experiencing one of Cuzco’s most stunning archaeological locations, we will take a moment to relish a picnic lunch in the serene outdoor setting.

With renewed energy, we will continue our exploration, taking in the diverse flora that envelopes the site. Our journey will lead us past the Kallachaka terraces, a mysterious arrangement of pyramidal shapes made from rings, as we delve into their secrets.

At the conclusion of our hike, a bus will be ready to transport you back to your hotel in Cuzco, with an estimated return time of four to five hours post-pickup.
