Private Day Trip to Pidurangala & Hiriwadunna

Our adventure will commence at 7 am with a pickup from your Dambulla hotel, followed by a brief 30-minute ride to our first destination, Pidurangala.

Upon our arrival at Pidurangala, we’ll visit a monastery housing a remarkable statue of a reclining Buddha nestled at the base of the mountain. Afterward, we’ll embark on a trek towards Pidurangala Rock, where from this stunning vantage point you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of Sigiriya and the iconic Lion Rock.

After soaking in the serene atmosphere and panoramic vistas, we’ll proceed to a nearby area filled with various restaurants, allowing you some leisure time to enjoy lunch at your own pace.

Refreshed and rejuvenated, we will journey to the village of Hiriwadunna, where you will immerse yourself in an authentic local experience. You will be transported through lush rice paddies via an ox-drawn cart and then enjoy a scenic boat ride across the picturesque lake.

Finally, we will return to your hotel in Dambulla, with an expected arrival time of 5 pm.
