Anaga Rural Park Hike

Immerse yourself in the stunning laurel forests located in the northern region of Tenerife with this guided hiking experience through the captivating Anaga Rural Park.

Activity Overview

At the scheduled time, we will gather at the Visitor Centre adjacent to the Cruz del Carmen Hermitage, where our intriguing hiking journey will commence through the mesmerizing Forest of Enigmas within Anaga Rural Park. This serves as an ideal starting point to familiarize ourselves with this northern Tenerife area while learning about the various trails that meander through the mountains.

Our adventure will feature an easy 3-hour hike across the remarkable Anaga Rural Park. This notable natural reserve, designated as a Nature Reserve in 2015, ranks among the most beautiful locations in the Canary Islands, boasting a remarkable diversity of flora and fauna.

During our hike, we will traverse through the renowned laurel forests at the heart of the Anaga mountain range. Accompanied by a local guide, we will discover fascinating insights regarding the plant species we encounter along the trail. This ecosystem is recognized as having the highest concentration of native species in Europe.

After three hours of engaging with the incredible array of plants and wildlife that Anaga has to offer, we will return to our starting point to conclude this memorable hiking experience.

Transportation Options

Should you choose this option, we can arrange to:

• Collect you from Puerto de la Cruz (taxi stand located in Plaza del Charco) one hour prior to the start of the activity.
• Pick you up from Garachico (Plaza de la Libertad) one and a half hours before the activity starts.

Please be aware that this transportation service is exclusively available on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Children Under 5 Years

While children are permitted to participate in this route when accompanied by their parents or guardians, this activity is not recommended for children under the age of 5. Additionally, parents may bring along children under 2 years of age, but they must be carried in an appropriate baby carrier.
