La Nouvelle Eve Cabaret Tickets
Description
If you seek a distinctive experience in Montmartre, consider securing your tickets for La Nouvelle Eve. You will witness a remarkable performance in one of Paris's historic cabarets.
Details of the Activity
Situated at the base of Montmartre Hill, merely a five-minute stroll from the famed Moulin Rouge, La Nouvelle Eve stands as one of the city's oldest cabarets.
Established in 1898 under the title “Fantaisies Parisiennes,” the venue quickly became known for showcasing significant works by renowned Belle Époque playwrights like Desfontaines, Scribe, Labiche, and Feydeau.
By 1920, it adopted the name “La Gaîté,” becoming the first venue in Paris to present nude performances. The cabaret later evolved, assuming various titles such as “Théâtre Balzac” and “Folies-Montmartre.”
In 1949, it officially took on the moniker “La Nouvelle Eve.” Since that time, it has become a staple of the Parisian entertainment scene. Notably, in 2022, it was featured in the series Emily in Paris under the title “La Trompette Bleue.”
What to Expect from the Show
The stage at La Nouvelle Eve comes alive each night with an exceptional performance featuring 23 artists who showcase 150 costumes across six vibrant scenes.
Throughout the 1.5-hour performance, attendees will be treated to memorable melodies of the Parisian music repertoire, including the famous La vie en rose, a classic by Édith Piaf.
As is customary, the show culminates in a mesmerizing can-can dance, the quintessential performance of Parisian cabaret culture.
