Description

In this Balinese cooking class, you will visit a local market to familiarize yourself with the typical food of the island and then enjoy tasting the dishes you create.

Balinese Cooking Class

Between 6 and 8 am, you will be picked up at your hotel in Bali and taken directly to a local market. Here, you will have the opportunity to select fresh ingredients for the cooking class, feeling like a local while purchasing vegetables, spices, meats, and other products from local vendors.

After the market visit, a delicious breakfast of coffee and a sweet treat will be served. Following breakfast, the cooking class will begin! Prepare to dive into the rich world of Balinese gastronomy.

Under the guidance of an experienced chef, you will learn how to prepare various traditional dishes. The menu changes with the seasons, but typical dishes you might make include green pumpkin soup, rice with coconut milk, mushrooms in banana leaf, and fish skewers. Each dish will be as delightful as the last!

At the end of your cooking experience, you will taste the dishes you've prepared, providing the perfect reward for your efforts! The entire cooking class will last approximately 5-6 hours.

Finally, you will be dropped back off at your hotel between 3 and 5 pm.

Hotel Pickup

This activity includes hotel pickup from hotels in Ubud. If you are staying in Nusa Dua, Kuta, or Sanur, pickup is also available, but please note that a supplement of 500,000 IDR per person will need to be paid on the day of the tour.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

This cooking class begins with a hotel pickup at your Bali accommodation, followed by a visit to the local market to source fresh ingredients. After breakfast, you will join the cooking session where you will be instructed on how to prepare a selection of traditional dishes under the chef's supervision.

Included: Hotel pickup in Ubud, market visit, breakfast, cooking class, and food tasting.

Not included: Pickup from locations outside Ubud without the additional fee.

Meeting point: Your hotel in Bali (specific to Ubud; supplement fee applies for other areas).

Pickup

We remind you that this activity includes pickup in hotels in Ubud. If you're staying in other areas of Bali, you'll have to pay an extra fee of 500000IDR per person on the day of the activity. Generally, the pickup schedule is:

Nusa Dua and Kuta: 6 - 6:30 am
Sanur: 7 - 7:30 am
Ubud: 7:30 - 8 am
