This excursion presents an exciting opportunity to discover Gran Canaria from Tenerife, showcasing highlights such as the Poema del Mar Aquarium, the historic Vegueta neighborhood in Las Palmas, and the renowned Arehucas Distillery.

Our adventure begins at your designated meeting point in Tenerife, where we'll embark on a journey to Santa Cruz Port for our ferry ride to Gran Canaria. Are you set to explore the treasures of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria?

Upon disembarking at Las Nieves Port in the picturesque town of Agaete, we will make our way to our first destination: the stunning Poema del Mar Aquarium. Opened in 2017 within the Puerto de la Luz complex, this aquarium boasts three distinct marine ecosystems: the jungle, coral-beach, and the mesmerizing marine depths. Take note—this facility features the largest curved glass panels worldwide and houses around 350 species of marine life, ranging from sharks and piranhas to crocodiles, and even the fascinating sea dragons!

Next, we will navigate to the historic center of Las Palmas for a guided exploration of the Vegueta neighborhood, a crucial area that dates back to the late 15th century. Here, we will encounter significant landmarks including the Casa de Colón, the Santa Ana Cathedral, the Canary Museum, the Literary Cabinet, the Casas Consistoriales (City Hall), and the Atlantic Centre of Modern Art. Visitors will also have leisure time to enjoy lunch at their discretion.

Our journey continues as we leave Las Palmas and travel to the charming town of Arucas, where we will explore the Arehucas Distillery. This visit includes a guided tour revealing the rich history and tradition behind its famous rums.

As part of our experience, we will delve into the production process of these rums and visit one of Europe's oldest rum warehouses, which impressively holds 4,308 American oak barrels—some with intriguing stories. To wrap up our visit, you will have the chance to taste a selection of wines and liquors, enhancing this extraordinary experience.

We will conclude our adventure back at Las Nieves Port in Agaete for the return ferry trip to Tenerife. After a full 12 hours of discovery, we will transport you back to your initial meeting point.
