Hiking Overview

Are you eager to tackle one of Tucumán's tallest mountains? We’ll collect you from your accommodation in Yerba Buena at the scheduled hour, setting off southward along winding routes embraced by soaring cliffs and dense greenery.

Our first destination is El Mollar, a charming village where you’ll savor a hearty breakfast to fuel your energy for the trek ahead. After this, we’ll proceed to the entrance of the Provincial Los Ñuñorcos Park. Following a brief introduction, we will embark on our journey to the summit of Nuñorco Grande, the tallest hill in the region.

As we navigate the Los Postes trail, we’ll make our way down, circling the hill and traversing gentle paths that lead to scenic vistas showcasing the breathtaking Angostura Dam and El Mollar. The altitude will begin to make its presence felt as we climb, with the incline becoming steeper as we ascend to 9842 feet (3000 meters) above sea level!

Upon completing this demanding trek, we will finally reach the summit. Congratulations! Locals claim this is Tucumán's most stunning summit, and you’ll see it firsthand as you take in the panoramic views of nearby peaks peeking through the blanket of clouds.

Following a well-deserved lunch at the Nuñorco Grande summit, you will have 2 hours of leisure time to unwind. Ultimately, we will begin our descent back to the vehicle and make our way to Tafí del Valle, concluding the day on a sweet note with a delightful afternoon snack.

We will then drop you back at your hotel in Yerba Buena approximately 14 hours after we begin our adventure.
