Embark on an adventure to the Ons and Sálvora islands as we sail from Portonovo, navigating the picturesque estuaries of Pontevedra and Arosa, heading towards these magnificent locations within the National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia.

Day Trip to Ons & Sálvora Islands

At the scheduled departure time, we will board a ferry at Portonovo dock and set off towards the National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia.

After a scenic 35-minute journey across the Pontevedra estuary, we will arrive at Ons Island. Upon disembarking, you will enjoy 3.5 hours of leisure time in this stunning location known for its clear waters.

During your time on the island, take the opportunity to unwind on its breathtaking beaches, enjoy a picnic with your own packed lunch, or explore the trails that wind through the landscape. A particularly recommended route leads to the lighthouse of Ons, which happens to be one of Spain's largest lighthouses.

Once we conclude our visit to Ons, we will reconvene at the island's pier for our next sailing leg. This journey will take another 35 minutes as we glide towards the Arosa estuary and the beautiful Sálvora Island.

Given the ecological importance of this area, we will be accompanied by a guided tour along Sálvora's designated paths. Throughout this excursion, we will come across the notable mermaid sculpture, the hermitage, and the island's iconic lighthouse. After exploring Sálvora, we will return to the ferry and head back to Ons Island to pick up other guests.

Finally, we will depart from Ons Island at 7:30 pm, returning to our starting point in Portonovo.

Important: Authorization Requirements for Ons and Sálvora Islands

As Ons and Sálvora are designated protected areas, there is a daily limit on the number of visitors permitted. To gain access, an authorization from the Xunta de Galicia is required. The local tour operator will handle the authorization process, making it crucial that all necessary information is submitted accurately during the booking. Failure to provide valid information may prevent entry to the islands.

After processing your authorization, you will receive it via email. It is essential to present this document alongside your voucher, either in hard copy or digitally on your phone.

If you need to cancel your participation in this activity, please notify us at least 15 days in advance and provide the name of the individual who will not attend, so that the Xunta de Galicia can remove them from the visitor list.
