Tour Overview
Commencing from a designated meeting point in Valencia, we will embark on a scenic drive lasting approximately one hour towards the charming town of Requena, recognized as the heart of Valencian wine production.
Upon arrival in this inland area, we will wander through the historic centre, making a stop at the impressive Iglesia de Santa María. During this segment of the journey, intriguing anecdotes will be shared. Did you know that numerous homes in Requena are constructed above ancient caves traditionally used for wine storage?
To delve deeper into this fascinating aspect, our first stop will be the Murviedro winery. Here, you will explore its captivating caves and savor a glass of wine in one of these historic chambers. Continuing the experience, a visit to the tasting room follows, where you'll sample two additional wines paired with a delightful apéritif.
Next, we will proceed to the nearby town of Utiel, where the Vera de Estenas winery awaits. This family-run establishment offers a chance to explore its beautiful vineyards and tranquil surroundings. You will be treated to a tasting of three distinct wines, complemented by a selection of cheeses and charcuterie.
After an engaging day, we will return to Valencia, concluding the tour after around six hours.
