In this activity, we will paddle on board a kayak or a canoe among the impressive canyons of the Rio Grande, right in the heart of the Big Bend National Park. This offers a fun way to explore the natural beauty of Texas!

Kayak or Canoe Tour Details

At the designated time, we will meet at 53570 HWY 118 in Terlingua. Once everyone has gathered, we will initiate an unforgettable aquatic experience in the Rio Grande. Ready? Let's go!

Depending on the water level, we will enjoy the tour by kayak or canoe. All necessary equipment and safety measures will be provided for the activity. Afterward, we will board the boats and start paddling along the legendary Rio Grande that flows through the Big Bend National Park.

Throughout the tour, you will take in the stunning views of Texas nature while experiencing an adrenaline-fueled adventure or relaxing as the current guides us. The river will dictate the pace of the activity!

Midway, we will head to the shore to stop for 1 hour so you can enjoy food that you bring along. After the break, we will return to the water and continue exploring the canyons of the Rio Grande.

Finally, we will return to the starting point to conclude the tour after approximately 6 hours and 45 minutes to 7 hours and 15 minutes. It promises to be a day filled with excitement!

What Boat Will We Use?

As previously mentioned, the experience on the Rio Grande will depend on the water level, and the tour may be conducted in either a kayak or a canoe.

The canoes can hold up to two people, with one child allowed in the central part. The kayak can accommodate one or two people.
