By obtaining a ticket for the Molinete Roman Forum Museum, you gain access to one of the most remarkable archaeological sites in Cartagena, as well as throughout Spain.

This site consists of various structures, including the Temple of Isis, the thermal baths of the Port, which served as a gathering space for Romans, and the Atrium building, where the collegium convened to host feasts in honor of the goddess Isis. These edifices line the primary corridor of the city from Roman times, referred to as the decumanus.

Your visit allows you to traverse the ancient pathways of Carthago Nova and its wall decorations. Immerse yourself in the ancient Roman Empire as you uncover the everyday lives of its citizens, marked by worship and communal feasts.

As you meander through the museum's various sections, you will uncover the narrative of Cerro del Molinete, exploring an array of artifacts and Roman relics.

The complex has recently undergone restructuring, recognized with the prestigious National Prize for Restoration & Conservation of Cultural Heritage in 2012. It now enhances the visitor experience with the revamped Molinete Roman Forum Museum.

The archaeological site is available for visitation at the following hours:

• July 1 to September 15: Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 8 pm
• March 15 to June 30 & September 16 to November 1: Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm
• November 2 to March 14: Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 5:30 pm

Note that last entry is one hour prior to closing.

The museum will be closed on January 1 and 6 and December 25; in the afternoon on January 5 and December 24 and 31.

Be aware that these hours might change and could slightly vary.

Reduced fare

Individuals qualified for a reduced fare include students under 25, holders of a Youth Card, unemployed individuals, retirees, persons with disabilities, and large families. Valid identification must be presented on entry.
