We will convene at your chosen time in the Garden of the Republic, located in front of the historic Convent of San Francisco. From this point, our guided walking tour will commence as we navigate the northern sections of Santarém, uncovering significant historical events.

As we gaze at the stunning gothic façade of the Church of Santa Clara, we will pass by the barracks that were pivotal during the renowned Revolution of the Carnations. Throughout this segment, you will gain insights into this vital military movement that shaped contemporary Portugal.

Next, we will approach the graceful Town Hall and at the municipal market, you will have the chance to observe the exquisite decorative tiles, many originating from the 18th century.
