Are you curious about scuba diving but unsure if you want to commit to a full certification? This introduction to scuba diving in Key Largo offers you the chance to grasp the foundational skills of diving while immersing yourself in the stunning coral reefs of John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, renowned as a top diving destination.

Activity Overview

The adventure begins at a designated meeting point on the Overseas Highway at the scheduled time, setting the stage for your thrilling scuba diving session in Key Largo.

To kick off, a one-hour theoretical session will cover essential safety protocols and equipment usage. Following this briefing, you'll transition to a swimming pool for a 1.5 to 2-hour practice session—an opportunity to gain confidence and get comfortable with your diving gear prior to heading underwater.

After your practice, enjoy a one-hour lunch break to refuel. The nearby area features a variety of quick dining options for those looking for snacks or light meals.

Once recharged, we will stroll to the pier to embark on our journey to the coral reefs within the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. This protected marine area is a stunning feature of southern Florida, promising you an unforgettable experience!

Prepare for two dives lasting approximately 40 to 60 minutes each. During these underwater excursions, you will encounter the vibrant marine life, which includes vibrant fish, uniquely shaped coral formations, and possibly even sea turtles if luck is on your side.

Upon finishing the second dive, we will make our way back to the departure point, concluding a memorable experience over the span of around 7 to 8 hours.

Requirements for Participation
