Enjoy the famous Six Bridges of Porto cruise from Vila Nova de Gaia. You'll take a cruise on a traditional Portuguese Rabelo boat, and enjoy the best views of the towns of the Douro.
Cruise Details
Leaving from the Vila Nova de Gaia dock, we pass along the Douro river on board a traditional Rabelo boat, with which the barrels were transported from the vineyards of the valley to the Gaia wineries.
During the boat ride, we will admire the six main bridges which cross the Douro and link Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia: The Dom Luís I Bridge (the most famous of the six, built in the 19th century), Infante Dom Henrique bridge, María Pía bridge (designed by one of Gustave Eiffel's associates), the São João railway bridge, Arrábida Bridge, and Freixo Bridge.
As we pass below the bridges of the Douro river, we will enjoy some of the best views of the towns along the river. We'll learn details about the main points of interest in Porto and Gaia thanks to audioguides in English which you can enjoy on board. From the Rabelo, you can see the most famous of Porto's vineyards, found in Vila Nova de Gaia.
The six bridges cruise ends back at the Vila Nova de Gaia dock.
Boat Schedule
- From 1st April to 24th October, the boats leave from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm.
- From 1st November to 31st March, the boats leave from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 4 pm.
- A minimum number of participants is required. If this number of minimum participants is not reached for a given departure time, your reservation will pass automatically to the next available slot.

You will board a traditional Rabelo boat at the Vila Nova de Gaia dock for a scenic cruise along the Douro River. Throughout the journey, enjoy vibrant views of the six iconic bridges linking Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia while listening to insightful audio guides available in English.

Meeting Point
The meeting point is located at the Vila Nova de Gaia dock, where you will board the Rabelo boat for your cruise.

Informations importantes
The boats leave from the Vila Nova de Gaia (Cais de Gaia) dock, the address of which is Avenida de Diogo Leite 74.
On the day of the excursion, the supplier will be waiting for you on the dock with an umbrella with the name Rota do Doutao. And you'll be able to locate the dock and boat by the same name.
Please remember that your ticket must be presented in printed form.
