Chott El Jerid, Tozeur, and Douz 2-Day Tour

Day 1: Chott El Jerid & Mountain Oasis

Early in the morning, depart from Djerba by ferry toward El Hamma. Stop at Chott El Jerid, the largest salt lake in North Africa, known for its white landscapes and mirages. Continue to the mountain oasis of Chebika, a former Berber village with palm groves and canyons. Enjoy free time to explore the oasis and its spring. Lunch will be served at a traditional guesthouse with local specialties. After lunch, proceed to Tozeur, the capital of the oasis region. Check in at your hotel and have free time to relax before the overnight stay.

Day 2: Tozeur, Douz & Berber Villages

After breakfast, enjoy a guided visit of the Tozeur medina, known for its brick architecture and souks. Then, travel to Douz, the Gateway to the Sahara. You will have free time to explore the market or join optional activities, such as a camel ride or quad excursion across the sand dunes. After lunch at a local restaurant, proceed to the Berber village of Tamazret, followed by a visit to Matmata, known for its troglodyte houses. On the return journey, stop at Toujane, a mountain village with beautiful views and photo opportunities before heading back.
