Tour Overview

At the scheduled time, we will gather at the entry of the Jameson Distillery, located on Bow Street in the vibrant district of Smithfield. Once everyone has arrived, we will set off on a guided exploration of this historic factory, which has now transformed into a celebrated museum—a true dedication to Irish whiskey.

Founded in 1780 by John Jameson, the distillery has a rich legacy waiting to be uncovered. We will start our adventure with a welcome drink from the house blend before diving into the fascinating history and craftsmanship that this place represents, a testament to the efforts of countless generations.

During our exploration, you will discover how Jameson became a global icon in the whiskey industry, leading to the establishment of larger production facilities. In 1975, the distillery transitioned from Bow Street to Midleton in County Cork, where the beloved Jameson whiskey is now produced for aficionados around the globe.

Throughout the tour, we will cover every stage in the whiskey production process, beginning with planting and moving through malting, milling, and finally bottling—when the product is prepared for market. The experience culminates in a tasting session featuring three varieties of Jameson whiskey. Sláinte!
