Activity Details

At the scheduled time, we’ll gather at 63 Cron Street, where a warm welcome awaits you along with the provision of all necessary gear for our journey. Are you ready to dive into this adventure?

Following our introduction, we’ll proceed to the heliport to board the helicopter that will transport us to the beginning of our hiking path, located atop the Franz Josef Glacier. Enjoy a remarkable 45-minute flight showcasing the stunning vistas of Westland National Park. Be sure to capture these moments with your camera!

Upon arrival at the glacier's summit, we will fit our crampons and commence a 2.5-hour hike to uncover the magnificent ice formations that inhabit this natural wonder. Fun fact: the glacier measures 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) wide.

We will navigate through impressive ice blocks, slide down narrow crevasses, and, with a stroke of luck, we might even explore an ice cave.

Finally, we’ll return to the helicopter for our flight back to the meeting point, concluding our experience with a heartfelt farewell after an energizing total of 4 hours.
