Oban, Glencoe & West Highland Castles Tour
Our adventure begins at 8:45 am at the designated meeting point in Glasgow. As we venture westward across the Firth of Clyde, the majestic Dumbarton Castle comes into view, notable for its extensive historical significance as a stronghold. Our initial destination will be Inverary, where you can either explore the Duke of Argyll's impressive Castle or wander through the charming 18th-century town, both offering breathtaking vistas of Loch Fyne.
Following our time in Inverary, we will journey further into the Highlands. As we head north, prepare to be captivated by the enchanting sights of castles and lochs, including the picturesque Kilchurch Castle, nestled along the banks of Loch Awe. Be sure to have your camera ready to capture one of Scotland's most photographed landmarks!
Next, we will arrive in Oban, fondly known as the 'Gateway to the Isles.' Here, you'll have free time to enjoy lunch in this quaint fishing town, explore the picturesque bay, and visit the iconic McCaig's Folly, reminiscent of a well-known monument. Our journey continues, passing by Castle Stalker on the island of Loch Laich, before arriving at Glencoe, recognized as one of Scotland's most dramatic glens.
On our way back to Glasgow, take a moment to appreciate the striking landscapes of Rannoch Moor and the Black Mount. Our last stop will be the scenic village of Luss, situated along the shores of Loch Lomond.
We will conclude our tour upon returning to Glasgow by 6:30 pm.
