Join us on a journey to Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee, where we will explore the significant sites connected to Jesus in the Holy Land. This experience includes visits to the Mount of Beatitudes, Yardenit, and Joseph's carpentry workshop, making it a perfect choice if your cruise ship anchors in Haifa.

Shore Excursion to Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee

We will gather at the Haifa cruise port at the scheduled time to board a comfortable bus toward Nazareth. The journey takes approximately one hour, providing us with delightful views of Israel’s northern landscape.

Are you prepared to discover the birthplace of Jesus? Our first stop will be the Church of the Annunciation, a site where, according to tradition, the archangel Gabriel announced to Mary that she would become the mother of the Son of God.

Next on our itinerary is the church of St. Joseph. In its basement, we will uncover a 1st-century grotto believed to be Joseph's carpenter workshop. Additionally, just a stone’s throw away, we will see Mary's well. Our guide will provide interesting stories about these revered historical locations.

Our exploration of the Holy Land continues as we ascend the Mount of Beatitudes, where one can enjoy stunning vistas of the Sea of Galilee. This area is traditionally regarded as the site where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. We will enrich your visit with informative insights as we explore the temple situated atop this significant hill.

Subsequently, we will head to the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fish, which honors one of Jesus' most renowned miracles. Although it was constructed in the late 20th century, its design reflects the character of an ancient church that existed over a millennium ago.

Continuing our adventure, we will arrive at the shores of the Sea of Galilee to explore the biblical city of Capernaum. Once a bustling fishing village, it is believed to have been associated with Saint Peter.

You will enjoy an hour of free time for lunch before we proceed to Yardenit, located at the junction of the Jordan River and the Sea of Galilee. Here, you may have the chance to be baptized in these sacred waters, should time allow, marking a pivotal moment in Christian theology.

After our nine-hour excursion, we will conclude our journey and return you to the cruise port.
