Arenal Volcano & Baldi Hot Springs Experience

At the appointed time, your journey will commence with a pickup from your accommodation in San José. From this point, we will head towards one of the most stunning natural landscapes in Costa Rica.

Our first stop will be in the charming town of Sarchí, known as the heart of Costa Rican artisan crafts. After taking in the local culture, we will travel through expansive pineapple and mango fields until we reach the entrance of the Arenal Volcano National Park, just a short drive from La Fortuna.

Once we arrive, we'll sit down for lunch at a local restaurant, where the offerings include options such as beef, chicken, or fish, accompanied by vegetables, salad, rice and beans, pasta, and a hearty vegetable stew, finished off with dessert and fresh local juice.

As we savor our meal, you'll be treated to stunning views of the volcano, which last erupted on July 29, 1968. Since that time, it has continuously emitted steam and gases, earning its reputation as the most active volcano in Costa Rica.

After exploring this globally recognized crater, you will have the chance to unwind in the thermal waters. Depending on your selection during booking, this relaxation may take place at either the Hotel Baldi Los Lagos Resort & Spa La Fortuna or the more upscale Ecotermales La Fortuna. These thermal pools, fed by the Arenal Volcano's natural heat, are nestled amidst tropical gardens, creating an idyllic atmosphere for relaxation.

As the day draws to a close, we'll enjoy a delightful dinner before making our way back to your hotel in San José, with an estimated return time of 15 hours after departure.
