We will gather at the designated hour at Hotel Las Candelas, setting off to an artisan facility where you'll discover the creation of muéganos, a beloved Mexican treat from Huamantla.

These delightful little honey-coated treats trace their roots back to Arab influence. Similar to marzipan and nougat, these confections made their way across the Mediterranean to Europe and subsequently integrated into Spanish gastronomy. When the conquest of the Americas occurred, these sweets found their way into the local cuisine.

During this enjoyable workshop, you will explore the rich history of this time-honored dessert, participate in a detailed demonstration of the preparation process, and then take the opportunity to create your own muéganos. Notably, in 2020, the muéganos from Huamantla were recognized as a Cultural and Gastronomic Heritage of Tlaxcala.

To end the experience, we'll delight in tasting the fresh muéganos we crafted during the session. A truly delectable conclusion!
