Tramandaí River Kayaking Tour

Embark on an enchanting kayaking expedition on the Tramandaí River, where picturesque sceneries await, alongside the chance to observe a rich array of birdlife and delve into the Mysterious Lagoon, frequented by the secretive caiman.

We'll gather at the prearranged time at Barranco Marina, before heading towards the Old Bridge along Estrada do Mar. Here, we'll step into our kayaks and prepare ourselves for an exhilarating adventure on the Tramandaí River.

Prior to our departure, our experienced guide will provide crucial safety instructions. As we navigate downstream, covering a stretch of 12 to 15 kilometers (7.5 to 9.3 miles), we'll be captivated by the stunning Serra Geral mountains and the distinctive flora and fauna of the region.

During the tour, look out for an array of avian species, including cardinals, herons, dry heads, chimangos, caracaras, and even spoonbills showcasing their eye-catching pink feathers. For those in search of a bit more excitement, we can schedule a stop for a refreshing dip.

After roughly 30 minutes of paddling, we will arrive at the Mysterious Lagoon—a location that is somewhat challenging to reach, home to yacarés overos, a South American crocodile species. Continuing southward, we’ll navigate a serene section of the river.

If desired, we can take a side trip to the Tramandaí bridge, passing by luxurious riverside properties that juxtapose beautifully with the wild landscape.

As our adventure comes to a close, we will head back to our original meeting point, with the tour lasting between three to five hours, influenced by the group's pace.
