Your journey begins with pickup from your hotel in Iquitos at 9:15 am, followed by a transfer to the city port for a scenic boat ride to our camp.
Once we arrive, a delightful buffet lunch will be served, after which we’ll set off on a nature walk to explore the lush surroundings. Here, you might spot the pygmy marmoset, the world’s tiniest primate, and witness a breathtaking sunset by a serene lagoon.
As night falls, we'll indulge in a delicious dinner and later venture into the jungle by boat to search for captivating alligators.
Day 2
Following breakfast, we'll visit the Sapote lagoon and Moena lagoon, where an array of birds, sloths, and playful monkeys can be seen inhabiting the trees.
After a rejuvenating meal, those interested can try piranha fishing in the Corriente and Purura lagoons. We will then observe the stunning hoatzin, a bird with a prehistoric appearance. Our day concludes with dinner and a night stroll to hunt for tarantulas and frogs.
Day 3
On the third day, we’ll have the chance to encounter the remarkable pink dolphin of the Amazon, along with iguanas and the enormous Victoria Regia, one of the largest water plants globally. After lunch, we’ll embark on a boat journey to Juanachi Lagoon, where various birds thrive. We’ll close the day with a fascinating night tour.
Day 4
After a hearty breakfast, those who wish can camp in a secluded area to immerse themselves in the true essence of the Amazon rainforest. During the day, you will enjoy a picnic lunch and may even catch fish for dinner if so inclined.
Day 5
Those who spent the night in the jungle will savor a picnic breakfast before returning to the main camp for a shared meal. We will then depart for San Juan de Yanayacu, where we’ll learn about the vibrant life along the Amazon riverbank. After a snack at the cabins, we’ll set out for a nocturnal walk to discover the remarkable giant frogs.
Day 6
On the final day, we’ll venture into the Amazon River, heading towards the Sapote Lagoon, alive with the song of countless birds in their natural habitat. Our exploration will continue to Moena Lagoon, where we’ll observe sloths comfortably resting in the treetops.
After our boat excursion, a buffet lunch will be served before we make our way back to Iquitos, aiming to arrive around 4 pm.
