Trekking Carrauntoohil Mountain
Our adventure begins at 9:30 am at Cronin's Yard, located just outside Killarney, where we will kick off this remarkable day hike to Carrauntoohil Mountain, the highest point in Ireland.
As you traverse the winding trails, you'll have the opportunity to appreciate the breathtaking vistas that await you at each turn during this 12 km trek. The journey is a true test of your limits, but reaching an elevation of over 1,000 meters on Carrauntoohil rewards you with unparalleled views of County Kerry.
Rest assured that we will take breaks along the way, allowing you to enjoy both the ascent and descent. Our guide will be with you throughout the hike, making this experience easier and more enjoyable than you might expect.
After conquering the highest mountain in Ireland via the renowned Devil’s Staircase, we will return to our starting point, concluding our trek at around 6 pm.
