Exploring Ljubljana

At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your accommodation in Koper and set off for Slovenia's capital, Ljubljana. After approximately an hour and a quarter of travel, we’ll reach our destination, ready to start our exciting guided journey.

As the cultural, political, and economic heart of Slovenia, Ljubljana offers a delightful array of historic sites and fascinating stories to uncover. Our adventure begins in the city’s charming old town, where we'll discover key sites such as the Town Hall, the Triple Bridge, Prešeren Square, and St. Nicholas Cathedral. This baroque-style cathedral has a fascinating past, having once been a Roman basilica.

We will also be captivated by the iconic Dragon Bridge, one of Ljubljana's most recognized symbols. While traversing this bridge that spans the Ljubljanica River, we'll share the compelling story behind the structure which replaced the former Butchers' Bridge.

Next on our itinerary is Ljubljana Castle. We'll take a scenic cable car ride up to this historic fortress perched on a hill. Here, a guided exploration of the castle awaits, revealing its origins linked to the city's early settlements going back to the Bronze Age.

Beyond the castle's interior, you will be treated to an incredible panoramic view of Ljubljana from atop the hill—the perfect way to appreciate the beauty of the Slovenian capital! After enjoying the vistas, we will descend via the cable car and return to Koper, where our tour will conclude around 3 pm.
