Palomino Islands Boat Trip
Description
Embark on an unforgettable boat journey to the Palomino Islands, where the coast of Callao unveils its vibrant wildlife. This adventure offers the chance to encounter penguins and various seabird species, along with the unique opportunity to swim alongside a lively colony of sea lions.
Boat Trip Details
We will convene at the designated time at the Club Canottieri dock in La Punta Bay, Callao. Our adventure begins as we provide you with a life jacket before boarding the vessel bound for the Palomino Islands.
As we set sail into the Pacific waters, our first sighting from the boat will be San Lorenzo Island, the largest in Peru and home to a naval base.
Continuing our voyage, we will pass by Frontón Island, where remnants of a former prison are visible. Additionally, look out for the Cavinzas Islands, known for their rich birdlife, including pelicans, blue-footed boobies, and red-legged cormorants. We will also observe various local species such as Peruvian gulls and Humboldt penguins, which inhabit this ecological zone.
Our journey's highlight awaits at the Palomino Islands, a natural sanctuary teeming with nearly 8,000 sea lions, a true spectacle of nature.
After approximately 20-30 minutes of enjoying the islands, you will have the chance to swim with the sea lions. Following this memorable experience, we will chart a course back to our meeting spot, concluding our tour around 3 to 4 hours after we set off.
