Embark on a remarkable journey to the "top of Europe" with a visit to Jungfraujoch. Experience the stunning beauty of glacial valleys and towering peaks while taking in the magnificent views of the Swiss Alps.

Day Trip Details

We will convene at Landenberg bus parking at the scheduled time. Our adventure begins as we traverse the lush countryside of Switzerland towards the Bernese Oberland. This enchanting region is well-known for its charming villages, impressive mountains, and an abundance of over 800 sparkling lakes. A short stop will be made in Interlaken, often referred to as the tourism hub of the Bernese Alps, situated amid two scenic lakes before proceeding to Grindelwald.

Upon arrival in Grindelwald, you will ascend aboard the Eiger Express gondola lift towards the Glacier Eiger station. Journey onward via the cogwheel train, navigating through ancient tunnels carved from solid rock, until you reach Jungfraujoch, recognized as the highest railway station in Europe.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Jungfraujoch presents remarkable vistas overlooking the Mönch and Jungfrau mountains along with the Eiger glacier. The area boasts various attractions that offer an immersive experience in the heart of the Swiss Alps.

Your visit includes access to the Alpine Sensation adventure tour, where you can explore the Sphinx Observation Terrace and Plateau viewpoint, reveling in aerial vistas of the surrounding snow-covered summits and Europe's longest glacier: Aletsch. Don’t miss the opportunity to wander through the magical tunnels of the Ice Palace.

We will allocate 2 to 2.5 hours at Jungfraujoch, after which we will return via the iconic cogwheel train, passing by Kleine Scheidegg, the charming destination of Wengen, and the picturesque Lauterbrunnen Valley.

Ultimately, we will reconvene in Lauterbrunnen, where a bus will be ready to transport us back to Lucerne, completing this enriching 10-hour adventure.
