On the day of your adventure, you'll be collected from your hotel or a designated meeting spot. Departing from Lugo, you'll head towards As Catedrais Beach, located along the northern shores of Spain. This region, known as the "Beach of the Cathedrals," is famous for its impressive rock formations. The majestic arches and caves, visible only at low tide, have been designated as a Natural Monument.
The striking cliffs, reminiscent of grand cathedrals, will leave you in awe. Also referred to as Praia de Augas Santas or Beach of the Holy Waters, the serene aura of the surrounding natural landscapes is truly captivating.
After soaking in the breathtaking scenery, your journey continues to the historic town of Ribadeo. Here, you will embark on a guided walking tour through the old town, where you'll encounter distinctive architecture reflective of the Indianos, who were emigrants returning from the Americas after achieving financial success. Among the noteworthy structures is the Los Moreno Tower, whose Modernist design echoes Gaudi's style, crafted by one of his former students.
Concluding your day filled with exploration, you'll return to Lugo, enriched by your experiences.

This tour includes pickup from various hotels in Lugo. For those staying outside the city center or if you prefer a different meeting spot, please arrive at Praza de Bretaña by 10 am to board the bus easily.

Access to As Catedrais Beach is regulated due to its status as a protected area, with a daily visitor cap. Consequently, to enter, you will require a permit issued by the Xunta de Galicia. The local provider will facilitate obtaining this permit for you; simply provide your ID and birth dates at the time of booking. Ensure that your ID card is current and valid to guarantee your access to the beach.

The local tour provider will contact you 48 hours before the start of the activity to confirm the tour running times and the exact pick up time from your hotel. If your accommodation is located outside of Lugo city centre, please make your way to the meeting point at Praza de Bretaña for 10 am.
As Catedrais Beach is a protected area with a maximum number of visitors per day. In order to access this beach, you need a permit from the Xunta de Galicia. Our local provider will arrange the permit for you, so you'll only need to provide us with your ID cards and dates of birth when making your booking. Your ID card must be valid and not expired, otherwise we can't guarantee access to the beach.
